DIM — Di-Indole Methane

Phytonutrients in plants are what protect the plants from germs and bugs. Scientists postulate that those health benefits can be passed along to humans.

DIM is a phytonutrient which is a natural component of cruciferous vegetables (members of the cabbage family like cabbage, kale, broccoli and cauliflower). DIM may have a role in controlling excess estrogen and therefore help in estrogen-related problems like PMS, peri-menopause, and enlarged prostate. Therapeutic dosages could interfere with thyroid hormone synthesis. Eat a reasonable amount of vegetables but check with a doctor before taking supplements.
